Wolves down Erin 8-5
The Ripley Wolves grabbed two points on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Erin Outlaws 8-5.
The Wolves jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead and managed to answer with a goal whenever Erin would try to claw back into the game in the second and third on their way to the win.
Goals were scored by Garrett Meurs (2), Gerritt Satosek (2), Brett Catto, Kaden Hoggarth, Todd Hellyer, and Evan Visser.
Assists went to Hellyer (3), Cody Britton (2), Nick Seiler, Logan Swanton, Dan Nicoloff, Pat Looby, Derek Skinner, Satosek, Meurs, Catto, and Visser.
Jason Hamilton stopped 29 of 34 shots for the win.
The Wolves now lead the Ontario Elite Hockey League with 21 points, four ahead of the Minto 81s, Creemore Coyotes and Saugeen Shores Winterhawks, who the Wolves host on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m.
