Wolves split weekend games, trail series 3-1
The Ripley Wolves are down 3-1 in their semi-final series vs Tavistock after an 8-4 loss on Saturday night and a 4-1 win to stay alive on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Wolves were down by four goals just 10 minutes into the game and couldn't fight their way back as they fell behind 3-0 in the series.
Goals were scored by Dan Nicoloff (2), Jakob Reeves and Pat Looby. Assists went to Garrett Meurs (2), Nick Seiler, Kaden Hoggarth, Tyson Soers, Gerritt Satosek, and Looby.
Jason Hamilton was pulled after the fourth goal of the first period and was replaced by Jacob Abbott. Hamilton returned to play the third period.
Sunday was a different story, as the Wolves stayed alive in the series with a 4-1 win.
Both Evan Visser and Meurs had two goals, with assists going to Cody Britton, Jarred Colling and Looby. Hamilton got the win, stopping 23 of 24 shots.
Game 5 will be Saturday, March 16, in Ripley at 7:30 p.m. If necessary, Game 6 will be back in Tavistock on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., while a potential Game 7 will be Tuesday, March 19, at 8:30 p.m. in Ripley.
