Wolves kick off 2024 with 4-2 win over Seaforth
The Ripley Wolves started the new year on a strong note, with a 4-2 win over the Seaforth Centenaires.
Wolves goals were scored by Logan Swanton, Dan Nicoloff, Evan Visser and Jarred Colling. Assists went to Garrett Meurs, Cody Britton, Mike Howes, Kaden Hoggarth, Tyson Soers, Visser and Nicoloff.
Jason Hamilton stopped 27 of 29 shots for the win.
The Wolves remain in top spot in the Ontario Elite Hockey League with 27 points, two ahead of Creemore, though the Coyotes have a game in hand, which they won't make up until the final weekend of the season (Feb. 3), when Ripley is idle.
The Wolves host the Georgian Bay Applekings on Saturday, Jan. 13, with a 7 p.m. puck drop. Game sponsors are Sobeys and (S)he Shed Beauty Boutique.
