Wolves lose to Creemore, come back to beat Minto
The Ripley Wolves split weekend games, dropping a highly-entertaining game to Creemore at home on Saturday night before bouncing back with a huge third period to defeat the Minto 81's in overtime on Sunday.

In a battle for top spot in the league on Saturday night, the Wolves couldn't get enough rubber past Creemore's goaltender – despite firing 57 shots on net – and suffered a 5-3 loss.

Wolves goals were scored by Kaden Hoggarth, Gerrit Satosek and Ethan Skinner. Assists went to Mike Howes, Garrett Meurs and Todd Hellyer.

Jason Hamilton faced 21 shots in the defeat.

Thanks to the Ripley Legion for sponsoring the game.

On Sunday in Palmerston, the Wolves needed a three-goal comeback in the third period to force overtime, before Meurs scored the winner in a 6-5 victory.

Other Wolves goals were scored by Skinner (2), Alex Kuntz, Dan Nicoloff, and Meurs. Assists went to Cody Britton (2), Logan Swanton (2), Meurs (2), Jarred Colling, Hoggarth and Nicoloff.

Jacob Abbott came in in relief of Hamilton and held the fort, allowing the Wolves to come back and win the game. It's Abbott's first win as a Wolf.

Ripley travels to Thornbury to face the Georgian Bay Applekings on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 5:30 p.m., and then heads to Tavistock on Sunday, Nov. 19, for a 3:30 p.m. puck drop. The Wolves don't return home until Saturday, Dec. 2, when they'll host the Milverton Four Wheel Drives at 7 p.m.
