Wolves lose 6-2 in Game 1
The Ripley Wolves dropped Game 1 of the WOAA Senior AA final 6-2 to the Tavistock Royals.

The Wolves look to get back on track on Sunday afternoon in Tavistock, with a 3:30 p.m. puck drop.

Tavistock scored early in the first, but Dan Nicoloff tied it up just seconds later with a laser under the crossbar, with assists going to Alex Kuntz and Adam Alexander.

The Royals regained the lead later in the first period, and wouldn't relinquish it from there.

Chase Meurs scored from Evan Visser and Ben Scheel with eight minutes remaining in the third, but it was too little, too late for a Wolves comeback attempt.

Jason Hamilton faced 34 shots, while the Wolves fired 37 on Tavistock's net.
