Wolves fall 4-1 to Seaforth in season opener
The Seaforth Centenaires looked every part of a defending champion in spoiling Ripley's season and home opener on Saturday night, by a 4-1 score.

It was a quick and clean game, and the Centenaires jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Garrett Meurs scored the Wolves' first goal of the season with nine seconds left in the middle frame. Assists went to Ethan Skinner and Alex Kuntz.

The third period was scoreless until Seaforth added an empty netter to make the final 4-1.

Jason Hamilton took the loss in the Wolves net.

Ripley travels to Petrolia on Friday night, Oct. 21, for their first road game of the season. Their next home game is Saturday, Oct. 28, vs the Lucknow Lancers at the Kincardine Davidson Centre, as part of Hockey Day in Kincardine that will see Huron-Bruce Minor Hockey play games against Kincardine all day. Puck drop is 7 p.m.
