Wolves take 3-0 series lead
The Ripley Wolves have taken a commanding 3-0 series lead over Shelburne, with a 5-3 road win on Saturday night.
Garrett Meurs broke a 3-3 tie with just 43 seconds left in the third period and Jarrett Kuntz added an empty netter 30 seconds later to seal the victory.
Other goal scorers were Dylan Sayle, Chase Meurs, and Garrett Meurs, who had given the Wolves a 3-2 lead earlier in the third.
Assists went to Keaton Willis (3), Nick Seiler (2), Alex Kuntz, Robert White, and Chase Meurs.
Jason Hamilton got the win in the Wolves net.
Ripley will look to sweep the first-round series at home on Friday, Feb. 18, at 8:30 p.m. Game sponsors are Ripley Variety and Parrish & Heimbecker.
Games 5 and 6, if necessary, will be played Saturday at 8 p.m. in Shelburne and Sunday in Ripley at 7:30 p.m.
