Wolves win two on weekend
The Ripley Wolves had a successful weekend, beating Durham 4-2 on the road and downing Lucknow 6-1 on Saturday night at home.
On Friday night in Durham, the Wolves entered the third period tied 2-2 thanks to goals from Jarred Colling and Alex Kuntz. Assists went to Brett Catto and Kuntz.
Dan Nicoloff scored the eventual game winner just a few minutes into the third, from Tyson Soers, while Catto sealed the win with 6:25 left in the game from Cody Britton and Adam Alexander.
Gatlin Burt got the win in the Wolves net.
On Saturday night, the Wolves hosted their cross-township rivals from Lucknow and carried the play from start to finish, winning 6-1.
Nicoloff led the way with a hat-trick, while Britton, Kuntz and Nick Seiler rounded out the scoring. Assists went to Jarrett Kuntz (2), Catto (2), Alex Kuntz (2), Payton Dunlop, Robert White, Cody Britton and Derek Skinner.
Ethan Primeau was solid when tested and got the win the Wolves net.
The Wolves travel to Creemore on Saturday, Nov. 27, for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop. They return home on Saturday, Dec. 4, vs the Milverton Four Wheel Drives. Game time is 7 p.m.
