The Ripley Wolves put a bow on 2025 and moved into first place in the North Division with 22 points after a 5-1 win over Lucknow on Saturday night in Ripley.
Evan Visser led the way with two goals, while singles went to Cody Britton, Garrett Meurs and Gerrit Satosek.
Assists went to Jordan Moulton (2), Jeff Alcombrack (2), Britton (2), Keaton McLaughlin, Kaden Hoggarth, goalie Jason Hamilton, and Satosek.
Hamilton stopped 27 of 28 shots for the win in the Wolves net.
The Wolves are on the road for two games next weekend, visiting the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks on Friday, Jan. 2, for an 8:30 p.m. puck drop, and the Minto 81s on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 5 p.m.
The Wolves return home on Saturday, Jan. 10, vs Elmvale, for a 7 p.m. puck drop. Game sponsors will be West Shore Stone and Brick, Bridgehaven Farms, Brucelea Poultry Farms, and Fabwrights Industrial. It's Jersey Night, so kids get in free if they wear the jersey of their favourite team or their own hockey jersey.
