Wolves win in Saugeen Shores and Lucknow
The Ripley Wolves completed a weekend sweep of their closest rivals, drubbing Saugeen Shores 8-2 on Friday night and returning home from the south side of the township with a 7-3 win on Saturday.

On Friday night, Ethan Skinner's natural hat trick in the second period and a seven-point night for Cody Britton paced the Wolves to the win.

Joining Skinner on the scoresheet was Garrett Meurs (2), Britton (2), and Carter Servais. Assists went to Britton (5), Tyson Soers (2), Jeff Alcombrack (2), Gerrit Satosek (2), Servais (2), Meurs (2), and Jordan Moulton.

Jason Hamilton shut the door after allowing two goals in the first on his way to the win.

The win moved the Wolves into a tie for second with the Winterhawks in the North Division standings with 20 points, despite the fact Ripley has played two fewer games. The expansion Elmvale Harvesters lead the North with 21 points, though the Wolves also have two games in hand on them.

On Saturday night, the Wolves outshot Lucknow 45-18 and brought home a 7-3 win.

Meurs led the way with two goals, while singles went to Evan Visser, Taylor Woolcott, Dawson Fahrer (shorthanded), Servais, and Britton. Assists went to Meurs (3), Jordan Beisel (2), Mike Howes, Jarred Colling, Derek Skinner, Britton, Servais, Fahrer, and Visser.

Garrett Golley was the winning goalie for the Wolves, stopping 16 of 18 shots.
