Wolves trounce Shelburne 9-1
The Ripley Wolves welcomed the Shelburne Muskies to the Ontario Elite Hockey League with a 9-1 trouncing on Saturday night on the road.
Though the game was tied after one period, the Wolves poured it on from there, firing 55 shots on former teammate Gatlin Burt en route to the victory.
The Wolves are now 4-1 on the season.
Dan Nicoloff led the way with a hat-trick, while Jordan Moulton scored a pair. Other scorers were Cody Britton, Jordan Beisel, Carter Servais, and Garrett Meurs. Assists went to Ethan Skinner (3), Christian Monachino (2), Gerrit Satosek (2), Britton (2), Mike Howes, Dawson Fahrer, Pat Looby, Kaden Hoggarth, Servais and Meurs.
Garrett Golley stopped 28 of 29 shots for the win in the Wolves net.
The Wolves return home Sunday, Nov. 16, for a 2:30 p.m. matinee against the Creemore Coyotes. The Under-7s will also play an entertaining mini-game at intermission.
