Wolves punch ticket to the final with Game 6 win
The Ripley Wolves will face the Minto 81s in the Ontario Elite Hockey League finals, after a 5-2 win in Game 6 vs Saugeen Shores.

The Wolves finished off the Winterhawks in six games on Sunday night with a 5-2 victory after losing 3-2 on Friday night in Game 5.

On Sunday, goals were scored by Brett Catto, with two in the third period to seal the win, Tyler McCarthy, Evan Visser and Cody Britton. Assists went to Britton (3), Garrett Meurs (2), defenceman Jordan Moulton, with his first two points as a Wolf after graduating from the Jr. C Bulldogs, Logan Swanton, and Dan Nicoloff.

Jason Hamilton sealed the series victory stopping 43 of 45 shots.

On Friday night at home for Game 5, the Wolves lost a 3-2 nail-biter. Both Ripley goals were scored by Kaden Hoggarth, with assists going to McCarthy (2), Ethan Skinner and Nicoloff.

The Wolves will now face the Minto 81s in the OEHL final, after they defeated the Seaforth Centenaires in six games.

On account of finishing first overall in the regular season with an 18-0-2 record, the Wolves will have home ice advantage in the series, so Game 1 is Friday night, March 21, in Ripley, at 8:30 p.m., with Game 2 going Saturday, March 22, at 6 p.m. in Palmerston.
