Wolves lose Game 3 in overtime

A late tying goal set the Milverton Four Wheel Drives up for a Game 3 win in overtime on Friday night in Ripley.

The Drives stayed in the first-round series against the Wolves with the 6-5 win, leading to a big Game 4 tonight in Milverton at 8:30 p.m.

It was another fast-paced game, with a combined 73 shots on net (40-33 in favour of the visitors).

Wolves goals were scored by Cody Britton, Garrett Satosek (2), Nick Seiler and Ben Scheel. Assists went to Brett Catto (2), Brent Walton, Tyler Soehner, Patrick Weijak, Seiler, Alex MacLeod, Paul Stewart, Tyson Soers and Mike Osadca.

Jason Hamilton was in net, facing 40 shots in the loss.

Game 5 will be next Saturday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m., as part of the Ripley Winter Carnival celebrations. Game 6 and 7, if necessary, are Sunday and holiday Monday respectively.

    Since it is the playoffs, maybe the site could be updated after each game. We all can’t get to all the out of town games. Get this stuff in the paper, get some interest going, maybe you’ll get bigger crowds.
