The Ripley Wolves have taken a 2-0 lead in their first-round series with the Milverton Four Wheel Drives, after a 6-1 win on Sunday on the road.

Brett Catto put the Wolves up 2-0 after one with a pair of goals – the first being on the powerplay from Tyler Soehner, Dan Nicoloff – and Britton.

Shawn Stewart had the only goal of the second period, from Devin Kemp and Garrett Satosek, before Tyson Soers and Patrick Weijak scored within 30 seconds of each other early in the third. Assists went to Soehner and Patrick Looby, and Ben Scheel and Brian Stanley respectively.

Milverton notched their only goal on Kurt Edwards with 13 minutes remaining in the game on the powerplay, but that was all they’d get past him.

Kemp added a final marker with 10 minutes left, from Tyler McCarthy and Satosek.

The Wolves will host Game 3 of the best-of-seven on Friday, Feb. 9, at 8:45 p.m. The game’s sponsor will be Canadian Tire Kincardine.
