The Ripley Wolves beat cross-township rival Lucknow 6-1 on Saturday before taking the extra point in Tillsonburg by winning in a shoot-out.
The Wolves scored two in each period in Lucknow on Saturday night and fired 36 shots on net in the 6-1 win. Cody Britton and Shawn Stewart each had two goals, while singles went to Gerritt Satosek and Tyson Soers.
Assists went to Brett Catto (2), Patrick Weijak (2), Satosek, Stewart, Jarred Colling, Alex MacLeod, Mike Osadca, and Dan Nicoloff.
Mitch Campbell faced 25 shots for the win.
On Sunday, the Wolves travelled to Tillsonburg to face the team with the second most points in the league (22), though they have played two more games than Ripley, which has 20 points. The game flipped back and forth all night, eventually going to a shoot-out, which Ripley won to go home with the two points (Tillsonburg did get one point).
Wolves goals were scored by Britton (2), Nick Seiler, Tyler Soehner, Brent Walton and Weijak, with Britton and Walton scoring in the shoot-out.
Kurt Edwards faced 37 shots and stopped two of three in the shoot-out for the win.

Petrolia captain suspended
Petrolia’s captain Jeremiah Goodacre, who attacked a Ripley fan during the Wolves 6-5 win on Nov. 25, received a six-game suspension from the WOAA.
Quiz Night another success
The Wolves’ third Quiz Night was another fun time, with the Old Roosters claiming their second championship. The next Quiz Night will be Friday, Jan. 12, at 8 p.m. at the Ripley Curling Club.
