Ripley Wolves goalie Jason Hamilton has been a rock for his new team this season.
Generally considered one of the best netminders in the league, he can now add goal-scorer to his skill set. Hamilton scored an empty-netter to seal the Wolves 3-1 win in Milverton on Friday night.
The Wolves took a 1-0 lead in the second when Tyler Soehner scored, from Ben Scheel and Mike Osadca. Milverton tied it in the third, but Gerritt Satosek scored the winner, from Paul Stewart, with just 53 seconds left in the third, setting up Hamilton’s empty netter.
The Wolves are now 6-2-0 and in third place with 12 points. They host Petrolia on Saturday night at 7 p.m. It’s Minor Hockey Night, so the Ripley Minor Hockey team with the most representatives in the stands will receive a pizza part courtesy the Wolves! Game sponsor is Lippert Trucking.
