For the second time this season, Cody Britton scored with just a few seconds left on the clock to give the Wolves a win.
Britton scored the game winner with just six seconds remaining in the third period to lift the Wolves to a 4-3 win over the Durham ThunderCats on Friday night on the road.
The Wolves had a 2-1 lead entering the third on second period goals by Brent Walton, from Tyler Soehner, and Dylan Sayle from Tyler McCarthy and Nick Seiler.
Durham stormed out in the third and slipped two by Ripley goalie Jason Hamilton, who stopped 25 shots on the night, but Walton answered back within a couple of minutes, from Brett Catto, to tie the game, setting up Britton’s last second goal.
The Wolves travel to Milverton on Saturday, Nov. 18, for an 8:30 p.m. puck drop. They next play in Ripley on Saturday, Nov. 25, vs Petrolia, at 7 p.m. Sponsor for that home game is Lippert Trucking. It’s also Team Jersey Challenge, where the Ripley Minor Hockey team with the most players there in their jerseys will win a pizza party!
