The Ripley Wolves took the long bus trip to Petrolia on Friday night and shut out the team that ousted them from last year’s playoffs.

The Wolves improved to 3-1 on the season with a 3-0 win over the Squires. Jason Hamilton recorded the shutout, stopping an incredible 53 shots.

Brett Catto and Tyson Soers scored first period goals, from Andrew Walsh and Cody Britton, and Ben Scheel and Tyler McCarthy respectively.

Scheel iced it in the third with a goal from Ryan Dudgeon.

The Wolves travel to Shallow Lake on Friday night for an 8:30 p.m. start, and then return home on Saturday, Nov. 4, for a 7 p.m. tilt with Tavistock. It is Meet the Wolves Night, so young fans can get a tour of the Wolves dressing room and meet the players between the first and second period.

Game sponsor is Current Electric.
