Wolves lose 2-1 in overtime

The Ripley Wolves will enter the final weekend of the WOAA Senior ‘A’ playoffs down two games to one after a 2-1 overtime loss on Saturday night.

Game details are currently unavailable.

Games 4, 5 and 6 will be played next weekend with a Game 7 on Tuesday night in Ripley if necessary. Puck drops in Ripley at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, and at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 2. If necessary, the teams will play Game 6 in Tillsonburg on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Wolves win Game 2 6-3

The Ripley Wolves tied up the best-of-seven WOAA Senior ‘A’ final at 1-1 with a 6-3 win on Friday night at home.

The Wolves travel to Tillsonburg tonight for a 7:30 p.m. game, before returning home for Game 4 next Friday, April 1, at 8:30 p.m. and Game 5 on Saturday, April 2, at 8 p.m.

Wolves fall 7-1 in Game 1

The Ripley Wolves fell 7-1 in the opening game of the WOAA Senior ‘A’ final in Tillsonburg on the weekend.

Scoring details are not currently available.

The Wolves host Game 2 on Friday night at 7 p.m. and then travel to Tillsonburg on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The Ripley Wolves will defend their WOAA Senior ‘A’ title against the Tillsonburg Thunder.

Although the Wolves have home ice advantage for the series, Game 1 will be in Tillsonburg this Saturday, March 19, at 8:30 p.m. The Wolves will regain home ice in Game 5, if necessary.

Game 2 – Friday, March 25 @ Ripley – 7 p.m.
Game 3 – Saturday, March 26 @ Tillsonburg – 7:30 p.m.

Tillsonburg defeated Ripley 5-4 in a wildly entertaining overtime game during the round-robin portion of the playoff schedule. You can expect this series to feature speed, skill and hard-hitting action, if the first time these teams met was any indication.

Wolves sweep Shelburne

The Ripley Wolves will defend their WOAA Senior ‘A’ title against the winner of the Tillsonburg/Milverton series, after Ripley swept Shelburne in four straight games.

The Wolves won 6-4 on Friday night and 3-2 on Saturday to finish off the semi-final against the Muskies, and will now rest this weekend while the other semi-final is decided. Milverton currently leads the series 3-1.
