The Wolves suffered their second loss of the weekend, this time by a 7-5 score to Shallow Lake on Saturday night.
The Wolves were down 4-0 but kept closing the gap to two, only to give up yet another goal, and eventually the game was out of reach.
Goal scorers were Ryan Armstong, Drew Davidson, Shawn Stewart, Brian Stanley and Tyler McCarthy. Assists went to Davidson (2), Stanley, Armstrong, Dustin Catto and Dylan Sayle.
Jamie Bailey started for the Wolves but was replaced by veteran Kurt Edwards, who came out of his brief retirement just prior to the game.
The Wolves continue their homestand on Friday night when they host Shelburne at 8:30 p.m. Game sponsor is Home Hardware and the Power Workers’ Union. It’s also the Team Jersey Challenge, so the minor hockey team with the most players in their jersey in the audience will win a prize!
Then, on Saturday night, Saugeen Shores visits Ripley for a 7:30 p.m. game. Sponsor is Smith Farms.
