The Ripley Wolves fell to 3-6 after suffering two hard-fought losses on the weekend.
On Friday night, in Shallow Lake, the Wolves lost 8-5 in a game that was tied at five heading into the third. Jamie Bailey got the start in the Wolves net and played well in the loss.
Scoring for Ripley was Cody Britton, TIm Dwinnell, Brian Stanley, Drew Davidson and Jarred Colling. Assists went to Brett Catto, Tyler McCarthy, Paul Stewart, Shawn Stewart, Devin Kemp and Colling.
In Ripley on Saturday night, the Wolves played a fantastic game against the perennially strong Elora Rocks, but gave up the winning goal with seven minutes left on the clock in a 3-2 loss. Kurt Edwards was fantastic, facing 36 shots.
Scoring for Ripley was Jeremy McQuillin and Stanley. Assists went to Colling (2) and Mark Stanley.
The Wolves travel to Port Elgin to face the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks on Friday, Nov. 21, for an 8:30 p.m. start, and then to Durham on Saturday night, for another 8:30 puck drop. The Wolves don’t return home until Dec. 12.
