The Ripley Wolves got a big win in Lucknow on Saturday, downing their cross-township rivals 5-2.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Wolves and moves their record to 2-4.

The Wolves got on the board early when Brett Catto opened the scoring, from Jarred Colling and Cody Britton. The Lancers scored late in the first on Kurt Edwards, but the Wolves exploded for three in the middle frame, while Edwards had a great period, turning aside all 14 Lucknow shots.

Second period goals went to Britton, Tim Dwinnell and Ryan Armstrong, with help from Travis VanGaver, Colling, Nick Locking, Mark Stanley, Devin Kemp and Brian Stanley.

The Lancers got one back partway through the third, but VanGaver iced the 5-2 win with an unassisted marker in the last minute.

The Wolves will look to build on this win next weekend when they host Shelburne on Friday, Nov. 7, at 8:30 p.m. Game sponsors are Oil Gard and Home Hardware Kincardine.
