The Ripley Wolves fell to 1-2 in the early going of the 2014/15 season, after a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the Elora Rocks on Friday night.
Scoring for Ripley was Nick Locking and Mark Stanley, with assists to Brian Stanley and Travis VanGaver.
Kurt Edwards was in the Wolves net and took the loss.
Ripley travels to Shelburne on Saturday night for an 8 p.m. start and then return home on Sunday, Oct. 26, to host the Mapleton-Minto 81s at 3 p.m. It is Meet the Wolves night, so bring the kids to meet the team during the game, which is sponsored by Colling/Lippert Trucking.
This is also the last home game to get your Halloween Dance tickets. The Friday, Oct. 31, dance – upstairs at the Ripley Arena – will feature The Mudmen, a Celtic-rock band well-known locally for its performances at the Kincardine Scottish Festival. Tickets, which are also available at Ripley Variety, are $20 each and there will be prizes for best costumes, so get your tickets and start planning your Halloween best!
