The Ripley Wolves took the long ride to Shelburne Friday night and brought home a win, but couldn’t repeat their success at home on Sunday against Palmerston.

The Wolves defeated the Muskies 5-3 on Friday night, with Kurt Edwards getting the win in net. Goals were scored by Shawn Stewart, Tim Dwinnell (2), Devin Kemp and Jeremy McQuillin. Assists went to Brock Lowry, Jarred Colling, Nick Locking (3), McQuillin (2), Mark Stanley and Corey McCrae.

On Sunday, in a game sponsored by Kempton Construction, the Wolves took an early lead on Palmerston on a goal by M. Stanley, from McCrae. Unfortunately it was all 81s from there, as they scored seven unanswered goals over the next two periods and eventually won 8-3. Tyler deVos had two goals for the Wolves in the third, from Paul Stewart and Kyle Gallant.

Kurt Edwards took the loss in the game.

The Wolves, now 3-7-2 on the season, host the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. The game, which is also Tyke Night, where local youngsters will play a game between periods, is sponsored by Colling/Lippert Trucking.
